Ingredients
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 celery stalks, chopped
- 3 cans water chestnuts
- 1 large can hominy
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 (8-ounce) can mushrooms
Directions
- Brown pork and beef in a large skillet. Add chopped onion, celery, and water chestnuts. Place in a large pot or deep baking dish. Add hominy and broth.
- Cook in oven until celery and onion are soft, about an hour.
Notes
- Excellent source of vitamins B1, B3, and B5 and minerals (zinc and selenium). Good source of fiber; vitamins B2, B6, and B12; and minerals (iron, potassium, and copper).
